HEAT EXCHANGERS
TYPES
Efficiency begins with a clean heat exchanger
Every degree counts. A dirty or worn-out heat exchanger not only loses efficiency, but also increases energy consumption and the risk of downtime.
At Blue Orange, we’ll make sure your air, oil, lean or plate exchanger maintains – or regains – its original cooling capacity.
With advanced ultrasonic, chemical and mechanical cleaning techniques, combined with craftsmanship and 24/7 service, we bring any system back to top condition.
Air Coolers
Clean air, better performance.
Air coolers become fouled over time by dust, dirt or scale. This reduces their efficiency and increases fuel consumption.
Our specialists clean air and intercoolers both chemically and ultrasonically, eliminating even stubborn contamination in fins and pipes.A well-maintained air cooler ensures cooler intake air, more efficient combustion as well as lower CO₂ emissions – whether for a marine engine or an industrial plant.
Oil Coolers
Reliable cooling for critical systems.
Oil coolers are indispensable in engine and manufacturing processes. After prolonged use, the pipe bundles can clog up, causing temperatures to rise and efficiency to be lost.
Blue Orange cleans oil coolers ultrasonically or chemically, removing grease and oil residues and restoring full flow.
This keeps the oil cooler performing as intended – with less wear, less energy consumption and longer life.
Bunker coolers
Optimum performance, even at sea.
Beun or box coolers are continuously exposed to seawater and biological fouling. Our technicians thoroughly clean and overhaul u-bundles and test each tube for leaks.
In addition, we can apply an anti-fouling coating that slows down fouling organisms and prevents corrosion.
With the Bunker Cooler Performance Plan, we offer a total solution – from cleaning to coating – so that your installation functions like new again.
Plate changers
Precision work with attention to detail.
Plate heat exchangers deliver high efficiency thanks to their large contact surface area, but are sensitive to contamination.
At Blue Orange, we clean each plate individually, check for cracks and crazing, provide new gaskets and perform a hydraulic pressure test.
With this careful approach, we guarantee maximum heat transfer and complete leak tightness – certified and documented.
How do we proceed?
Every project at Blue Orange goes through the same clear structure. So we work quickly, precisely and completely transparently, from intake to completion.
Inspection &
Diagnosis
We start with a thorough visual and technical inspection.
We determine the degree of contamination and recommend the appropriate cleaning or overhaul method.
Cleaning
Depending on type and contamination, we clean ultrasonically, chemically or mechanically.
This is how we remove oil, scale, grease and deposits deep into the plates or fins.
Recovery &
Test
Damaged parts are replaced or repaired.
Then the heat exchanger is pressurized under test pressure to ensure complete leak tightness.
Delivery & Reporting
After final inspection, you will receive a clear report with test results and maintenance advice.
We provide transportation and are available 24/7 in case of urgent restarts.

It depends on the type of installation. Smaller plate exchangers or air coolers we often take to our workshop for ultrasonic cleaning and pressure testing. Larger or fixed installations we clean on site, keeping downtime to a minimum.
In most cases, we are operational within 48 hours. For urgent breakdowns, our intervention team is available 24/7.
Yes, absolutely. We work brand-independently and have parts, plates and gaskets for virtually all common types of heat exchangers.
During an overhaul, we completely disassemble the heat exchanger, ultrasonically clean all components, replace gaskets and bolts, and press the unit under test pressure. You will receive a full test report upon completion.
Yes. We apply industrial coatings that protect against corrosion and fouling - especially useful in marine and offshore applications.
Ultrasonic cleaning removes dirt, grease and scale deposits deep into the fins and plates, without damage to the metal. The result: up to 30% higher efficiency and longer life of your installation.
It varies by sector. In agriculture usually annually, in industrial environments sometimes quarterly. We can customize a maintenance plan based on use and environment.
Yes. We supply plates, gaskets, bolt sets and plugs both to service companies and end users. Just provide us with the type number or serial number and we will take care of the rest.
Cleaning removes contamination, but overhaul goes further: all components are checked, replaced where necessary and rebuilt. Thus, the heat exchanger regains its original performance.
Sure. We have our own logistics partners and can pick up and return the heat exchanger - fully coordinated with your schedule.
